Hey everyone. sorry there hasn't been any news for a few days but internet at the sahara was really expensive.

I had an absolutely awesome birthday, jo gave me my present at midnight (a photo album with some pics of our trip so far) and bought me a drink. We had a wander round the casino and me and mike put in $10 each to play roulette, which we lost quite quickly.

Got up about 10.30 had some breakfast and then sat by the pool until nearly 5, so my tan has returned. woohoo! Had showers and got dressed up, walked for miles to find somewhere to eat. there are no restaurants on the strip, only giant hotels with restaurants in them. So we went to mirage and had a lovely dinner. Jo got me a free desert for my bday.

Then we got a taxi to tropicana hotel where we saw a stand up comedy show, which was hilarious. Cirque de soleil was too expensive, i would have paid it but i couldn't expect the others to.

After the comdedy show we got a taxi to the bellagio (from ocean's eleven) and hung out there for a while. the casino was quite expensive, i spent $5 on a slot machine and $20 playing blackjack, that disappeared in about 2 mins, but jo did quite well.

Then we went back to the sahara and i played roulette again. I won $40 woohoo! Went to bed about 5am. oops.

Yesterday we didn't get up until 1pm and then sat by the pool until it closed at 6. We went to planet hollywood for jo's birthday dinner. Unfortunately the driver took us to planet hollywood the hotel which is a completely different company and nowhere near the restaurant. So we didn't eat until 10.30, but it was really nice and jo got a free desert which we helped her eat as she was quite full. Then we went to ceasars palace but that was quite expensive to gamble too.

We went to a couple of bars and danced a bit. At 2 we went to a cheaper casino on the strip and i lost my $40 playing roulettee never mind. Mike made $80 so he was very happy. Me and dre went back to the hotel at 4 but jo and mike got conned into going to a gentleman's club. they didn't get to bed until 8.30 and then we had to check out at 12. They were both feeling pretty rough.

tomorrow we are going in a helicopter over the grand canyon and then going to a ranch to watch a gunfight and have a bbq. really looking forward to it.
