Wow!! The Rockies are amazing!!!!

I'm having such a great time!

For the last few days we have seen so many lakes, the rockie mountains which are stunning!

We left Banff and drove up to lake Louise it was a pretty long day on the bus! In fact we have had a few long days on the bus.

Lake Louise was beautiful there's a hotel right on the lake which costs from $300-3000 a night!!!!!
There was a walking trail up to a tea house but it was closed as there was a bear on the track!!! Gutted we didn't see it!

The hostel we stayed in was really nice. It was like a wooden lodge in the middle of nowhere! We had a bonfire and smores but it was pouring with rain so I had a smore and went in!

A few of us were playing cards then we played uno I've never played before and the rules kept getting changed all the time!! It was such a long game!!

We then drove from lake Louise to jasper. We actually got off the bus loads and did some little hikes.

We went to a lake called Peyto lake which was beautiful!

We saw lots of lakes over the past few days including Moraine lake and emerald lake.

We also saw lots of canyons and waterfalls.

Yesterday we saw 2 Elk by the side of the road which was pretty cool. They weren't as close as the ones the other day though!

Last night we stayed in a wilderness hostel!! There was no running water so we couldn't shower! It was actually a really nice place. 16 of us stayed in the same cabin which was pretty cool.

There was a log fire in the common room.

For dinner we had walking tacos!! I was so excited for everyone to try them and they all loved them!!

If dinner has been included it's normally been a veggie burger so it was nice to have something different! The night before everyone had chilli but the vegetarians had cheese quesadillas and there were a bit crap and not very filing!!

This morning we went on a little hike then to athabasca falls which were pretty cool. I took lots of photos but they never do these things justice!!

We did a few little hikes today it was nice to get off the bus!

We stopped and had lunch next to a waterfall today. I kept getting wet by the spray from the falls.

I had kinda given up on seeing a bear on this trip then out of no where one crosses the road ahead of us! We saw it but it headed in to the bushes so didn't get a great picture! I was on bear watch after that and literally 5 minutes later I spotted a grizzly!!! Again though it was going in to the bushes so I only got a picture of its bum!! Then 5 minutes after that we saw a mountain sheep running down the highway!!

We are now back in Banff and I'm going horse riding tomorrow!! I can't wait!!
