We arrived at 4.30, and found hotel An Hoa easily but again we get top floor. We have a habit of getting top floor with no lift and the back of the bus :( We had dinner at Lanterns, which was really good but not as cheap as we wanted. The weather was beautiful and sunny, a great day for sunbathing but not enough time today. Then wondered through the market: bought ourselves some Vietnamese coffee and a drip coffee maker. The town was all decorated for New Year Tet, all balloons, decorations, flowers and light displays, very pretty.

We had a snorkel trip organised for 7.30am so arrived at office early to get checked in to be told, no snorkel trip because of holiday. So they offered us a four island boat trip, which included a little snorkelling. We didn't really have much choice although I had held onto my snorkel kit for this reason, it was a pity. Then we couldn't find anywhere that had breakfast :( and lastly I banged head getting into the van, felt slightly concussed. We get into the boat and it's just a tourist show. Too many people and cheesy entertainment, although this did mean we got to watch the South Koreans dance to Gangnam style and other ransoms Karoke. Did a bit of snorkelling, not that great, then we noticed how dirty the water was and instantly regretted this. We visited a fish farm and another random island but we decided to stay on the boat to avoid paying the entrance fee. An okay day really but would have preferred a snorkelling trip. That evening we looked for street food but could only find some Russian stuff, obviously including cabbage. Not too bad actually. That evening we watched the kids rollerblading, they were amazing, then watched the New Years fireworks which were pretty impressive.

The next day we had a day to kill time until the night bus to Hoi An. So today was our sunbathing day, where we wee excited to have the fruit ladies walking along the beach to get our fresh pineapple and mango, and these pomadom like things with seeds in, really good. To say we got roasted would be an understatement. We got showered, had our last dinner in our favourite Lanterns, and caught a pretty comfortable bus to the next destination.
