I'm afraid to say we are finding in next to impossible to successfully upload all our photos and it has taken several frustrating hours and we still didn't really get anywhere, we managed to get a few on though!!
Anyhow, The agonisingly long journey to Ko Samui was rather interesting, we started at 3.30 and took a bus to surrathani where we had to wait around for several hours, when we eventually managed to get on the boat it was like the lower decks of a slave trade boat!! we had no space at all and we sleeping on bug infested mats, cheek to cheek for B200 only!! However it wasn't all bad as we met some wicked aussies at the port and we played a few card card games and they reassured us that it wouldn't be all that bad.
We arrived in Ko samui at 5am and took an hour to find the cheapest scummiest accommodation there was up for grabs! (which we managed for two nights but the many encounters with cockroaches in our toilets forced us to change huts today)
Ko Samui has been amazing we have been eating thai cuisine out on the beach front and drinking cocktails on the lay down seats-as im sure you can see in the pics. We did a day of sight seeing and went to see the happy budda the chinese lady budda, some amazingly beautiful temples, the weirdest of all the sights however was the mummified monk who was just sat in the meditating posistion in a glass box, it was rather creepy- i think there is a photo- and then after we went into the jungle and saw a spectacular waterfall. We also went to see a monkey show but kind of wish we hadn't , the monkeys we tied to trees and had hardly any space to move. not pleased about funding that but we'll know better in the future.
Off to Ko Tao in a couple of days so we'll see where that takes us.
Missing you all loads of love Kira and Millie
