Hiya,

After an early start on Monday we arrived at the Bay of Islands around 1:30pm we were dissapointed with the weather because it was over cast and grey. Tom and Towny went on a power boat trip around the islands and out to the hole in the rock formation and got pretty wet! Kim, Luke and Towny were suposed to do their sky dive aswell but it got cancelled due to the weather. In the evening we went to Pipi patch hostal where we had an ocean themed Bar b q. It was a good night.

Tuesday we were up pretty early for our day trip to Cape Reinga the most northern point of New Zealand and where the Pacific meets the Tasman sea. Our driver for the day was called spike and he was a legend! haha! We went for a walk in a forest on the way and saw some Kauri trees (native New Zealand trees which are huge!) After taking photos of Cape Reinga we headed to a secluded beach for lunch. In the afternoon we visited Te Paki stream where we sand boarded down the dunes. Here we sand boarded by lying on a body board and riding down the dunes, different to South America where we stood up on snow boards. The bus we were on had special tyres for sand so on the way back we drove along ninety mile beach (which is actually only 64 miles long!) then drove through Mangonui for some fush 'n' chups. It was a long day and we were all knackard so that night we ended up staying in and watching a film.

After a nice lie in on Wednesday we all chipped in and cooked a nice english breakfast and took the ferry to Russel in the afternoon. Russel was the first place settled by the Europeans. We saw a few sights in Russel it's only small even though it was the first capital. In the evening we chilled out with some drinks and played manopoly (how sad! haha!)

Yesterday Kim, Towny and Simpson were able to do their sky dive in the morning - it was AMAZING! In the afternoon the bus took us back to Auckland, where we took Gianni to see a doctor as he wasn't feeling well.

This morning we didn't get the kiwi bus as planned as Gianni is pretty ill. We are going to get the bus tomorrowwith Towny and Simpson is going to stay with Gianni until he feels abit better.
