Moving onto Koh Tao and another few days of relaxation on nice beaches! The highlight was meeting up with Kelly from our Africa trip who was coincidentally on the island as well. We had hoped to do a PADI scuba diving course but Kims asthma proved problematic and doctors proved reluctant to sign her off due to the risk of her lungs rupturing (nice!) The trip from Hat Yai was relatively uneventful, apart from arriving at the ferry to find the booking agent hadn't given us our ferry tickets. Panic ensued until we noticed our minibus driver (who looked about 12) chuckling from the sidelines - he had them in his pocket...the git! Koh Phan-Ngan is a beautiful island - the beaches in the north are definitely worth a visit...especially bottle beach - reached only by longtail boat! Unfortunately our stay in Koh Pha...

We sadly left our beautiful tropical paradise and set out to cross the border with Thailand. We were pleased when we got off the speedboat at 8.45am to find out that our bus should arrive at 9 - 9.30am... 3 hours 45 minutes later it finally shows up!
