Hey guys, e've finally made it to the other side. Since we last updated we have had no mobile coverage or email access. We did consider the fact that no one in the world knew where we wer, whoops oh well we're here now. We have spent the last 6 days on the road. After Alice we headed back up to Tennants Creek, where this time we didn't break down but got infested with ants (bloody Tennants Creek not going there again). Once we had removed them from the engine we headed to Mount Isa, which is now officially our least favourite place in Oz, we'll explain at some point. We then headed North again to Karumba and got to see the sea for the first time in weeks, it was lush although we couldn't swim as it was full of crocs so instead we had a bottle of wine and our first meal out in weeks, even more lush.
The next morning, having been eaten by killer, hungry mossies, yes we are both covered in camomile again, we headed to Undarra National Park and the lava tunnels. They were amazing and our tour guide Tim very entertaining if not a little bonkers. His bushfire evening entertainment was like something out of Alan Partridge. We spent a day chilling and swimming (aka not scratching) and we are now just outside Daintree National Park and will be at Cape Tribulation this afternoon, awesome.
Hoping to do a boat trip off the Barrier Reef in a few days on our way to Cairns. We are still trying to avoid the cyclones they are now predicting, and we thought British weather was bonkers.
Hope all is well there and you're all excited it's only 30days until christmas.
Lots of love to you all, take care over there love us xx
