Hello there! Thought I had better let you all know where we are & what we have been up to............!!

Well... we left Noosa & headed for the Australian Zoo(aka Steve Irwin Zoo). Absolutley fab, the animals there are great & sooo cute. It was quite sad but also fantastic at what he acheived whilst alive and what has been left behind- Education for both young & old, Zoo expansion and of course the animal awareness around the world. We met some Roo's and fed them.. they were very chilled. It was very nice to see live Roo's as opposed to on Rob's plate or the Pacific Highway well & truly squashed! Moments later we were stroking Kaola bears - a group of bears work on a 20min rota system taking it in turns to be harressed by Jo public such as Rob & Kelly... they are sooo cute, sleep for 20 hours per day and eat the other 2!!! Sounds good to me! Other animals seen included elephants, tigers & cubs, all sorts of birds ( Rob just reminded me that we did visit a zoo!!) and not to forget the infamous crocodiles in the crocosium! Then we headed for Brisbane where we stayed for a night. OK city but just that a city. We then ventured further South & ended up in Byron Bay... we were now in New South Wales as opposed to the wonderful Queensland. Dumped our stuff in apartment and headed to a light house on a sort of hill called Cape Byron. The views were out of this world but had only been ther 5 mins when the most fantastic storm came over..... the sights were great.... lightning not seen before! Great photos again! Byron Bay itself wwas lovely, a beach resort with a hippy feel! We liked it here! Whilst here we saw whales again with their bambino's. Did lots of walking and took lots of piccies, so hopefully you will get an idea of how lovely it was. We left Byron Bay on Sunday the 14th, may I add after getting up at 0430am to watch the Rugby! Come on England!!!!! We popped into Coffs Harbour for lunch... well a Subway anyway.. then left for Port Macquarie. We loved it here too!! Dolphins surfing with the surfers!! and Whales again! Viewing all this on a stroll from our apartment! Quiet resort though, not a lot going on. Left Port this morning and arrived in Forster, lovely place... very hot at moment.. we are about 1.5 hrs from Sydney. Staying here tonight then move on to either Newcaslte or Hunter valley.
