Saturday

We spent most of the morning chilling watching TV (I'm a celeb, the apprentice, first dates, goggle box) whilst we had the opportunity to, it was cloudy so our plans to chill by the pool were overtaken. In the afternoon, Carly's friend Bee came over who we later realised Lauren had lived opposite in halls (they didn't mingle at uni so this took a while to realise) and the girls took us to Chinatown which was totally manic but I enjoyed it. They were searching for a Christmas tree, we could find plenty of Christmas decorations but unfortunatly nowhere seemed to have a tree.

After getting lost and lots of walking around, we went to a hostel-type snack bar for a beer and some food which had an excellent view of the city for cheap prices. Later we made it back and got ready for a night out. Carly kindly ordered us some pizza in and we watched Alan Carr whilst having some drinks, I felt really at home it was lovely. We'd been told the traffic was really bad, so we took the skyline to where we needed to be. The first bar we went to was called Cheap Charlie's and it was rammed with people. We saw a good break dancing group and chatted to a couple of other travellers whilst we were there. We went onto the Australian bar where unfortunately after a couple of drinks Lauren's phone got stolen. It was an upsetting end to the night and after having ran out of money anyway we all headed off back to the apartment.

The following day we chilled by the pool and then in the evening went off to a restaurant called Molly Malones which did one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. With a starter, main and desert to choose from I had tomato soup, roast pork and apple pie with custard - it was all fully appreciated after a long time without a real good English dinner (although the bar was Irish). We went back to Carlys and chilled out with strictly come dancing on and had an early night.
