Tuesday We awoke very excited to be going to the elephant rescue reserve. We'd picked a one-day pass to experience being among them and learning about the sanctuary. Sunday and Monday With an early rise Sunday, we woke up to a very cold misty morning so wrapped up and headed on the bikes into town for some breakfast back at the Witching Well and then went onto find the hot springs to relax in. We drove to a great little spa-type place that was only 100 baht each for the whole day and went and relaxed in the warm bath-like waters. There's was a decent sized swimming pool there with good views and the sun had finally came out...

Saturday We had a lazy day as everyone had felt a bit rough from the night before. Nick and I went for a late breakfast along the riverfront which was really nice, and Lauren and Lisa joined us as we shouted them across when they were walking back from their breakfast. Wednesday It felt great to wake up Wednesday morning with Nick next to me. We had a lovely room at the hostel we were staying at Laksameenari Guest House which was just off Khao San Road. It provided towels, robes, our own fruit bowl, safe, hair dryer, TV, coffee and tea with a kettle and included breakfast - all things that I've not had the luxury of in most dorms even if Lauren and I had stayed in our own private rooms quite a lot this one was by far the best!...

Thursday and Friday We had a bit of a lie in compared to the previous day and then after realising we were too late to go and do anything like a cookery course (which I've been wanting to do for a while), so instead simply went for a wonder around the town and chilled and had some lunch away from Khao San Road for a change of scenery.
