Tuesday

We got up and Lauren wasn't feeling great, but we managed to check out of happy house and got a tuk tuk to our new hostel which was a bit further away from everything but already first impressions were already so much better. It was called, 'Eighty8' and there were lots of cats around being treated like babies. Lauren can't stand cats so wasn't too happy with this! We had to wait until 2pm to check in, so I was productive in booking our next flight to Bangkok on 27th November and once the sun came out a bit, we chilled by the nice pool area there.

By about 3 o'clock we took another attempt at checking out the Royal palace. In being fully covered from neck down, we expected to both be fine to get in. There was some jobs-worth bloke however who said the top I had on wasn't ok because he thought it was a shawl from the type of design it was. Anyway after the women who worked there trying to tell him it was a top, he was still having none of it so I had to join others in looking like a proper happy tourist and buy a $3 white t-shirt with pictures of the palace on it. Lauren and I thought it was a sign we should never have gone to see the palace and we should have just walked away because none of us were impressed by the palace.
It was crowded with people and there were men stood around stopping people from taking pictures of certain things. After being childish and messing around taking pictures of what we could, we left the palace which we felt was very different to Buckingham palace as the guards were just stood texting and Charing on their mobiles, and we went into find the 'Friends n stuff' tapas restaurant.
The food in there was amazing!! Especially the salted caramel cheesecake we shared for desert. Something I haven't eaten in 5 weeks. We got a tuk tuk back, I had issues with my Caxton fx card
I get money out on due to paying to the last couple of flights and delayed money coming out (it was fixed a few days later though) and we both got an early night in our nice pink female dorm.
