OUR BAD NEWS!!!!!!! Well we have some really bad news.............................. WE ARE HOMELESS FOR CHRISTMAS!! We were invited back in May to spend Christmas with Sam and Stuart in Melbourne.(the parents of Zak who Victoria is a live in nanny for, for a year) We had been in contact with them during our travels and had made all the Christmas arrangments and dates we were staying with them for. We were really excited to be spending Christmas with a family, in a house and of course seeing Victoria. It was lovely to have an address to give to people so they could send our Christmas cards to us and our parents would be able to call us on Christmas Day. We booked our Bus to Melbourne which cost a bomb because of the time of year and had brought their Christmas gifts. Also Nat's parents have spent so much money on flights to see us in Melbourne (cos thats where we'd planned to be!) and then flights to Cairns and Sydney when they could have left out Melbourne and spent longer on the East Coast and we would have had more time with them!! YESTERDAY We had spoken to Victoria and made the final arrangments during the day and everything had been sorted. Only two weeks to go now we were all very excitied!!! BUT THEN We get seven missed calls and a text message from Victoria to call back staight away!!! We called her back to find out that Sam thinks it would be better for us to stay somewhere else at Christmas and that Victoria should come with us. WELL THANKYOU SAM MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU TOO!!! Now I am sure that most people would be aware that you do actually have to book in advance at Christmas especially when you are on a low buget and can't afford to stay anywhere. All the hostels are booked up and campervan prices are a lot higher. Sam's suggestion was that she thought it would be NICE for us to stay in a ..............TENT!!!!!! We have been camping for a month we really don't want to spend Christmas in a tent. oh then she had another suggestion (that was nice of her) to go on a wine trail!!!!!!!! So now we are in New Zealand trying to find somewhere in Melborune for the three of us to stay at over Christmas time!!!! We feel really sorry for Victoria who is homesick and was looking forward to Xmas as much as us and has now not even got a place to stay either! There we go, got that off our chest now!!!
