Hi Guys, have been looking at your pictures with somber nostalgia, it all seems like so long ago now. You've got some fantastic photos, it's a joy to see it all through someone elses eyes. Be warned though, when you get home nobody gives a toss unfortunately, i've been trying to push my photo collection on as many people as possible but to no avail.
Good luck on the ferry to Sudan, enjoy the Nile hotel in Waidi Halfa, luxury pasonified!

Very many congratulations on doing so well in your fantastic journey thus far We still find difficulty in believing that your super photos can be sent by you from "foreign parts" for us to see at out leisure at home. We send our love and wish you both the greatest good fortune in your continuing adventure.

Just had a quick look at your sight. Amazing trip. Let us know when you get near Namibia and we can give you any tips if you need them. Hope your nuts are still tight. Nice beard looks almost real! Saw Georigie at the weekend I am sure she says hi.

Hey Giuys!
Your piccies are a joy to look at and thanks for the regular updates.
We're glad you're having such a wonderful time and are safe, but just in case we go to Mass everyday......!
Here, things are really beinging to get hot over wedding plans and we're knee deep in lists of "things to do". Amazing how much there is, in fact, to do but you both know all about this. If you have any tips, which you think we might have forgotten, everything's welcome but of course out there in the desert, who's thinking about making lists of anything?!
We're fine - getting old and probably not wiser, but the girls are gorgeous and getting ready for the Big Day on the 30th December.
Lucas is playing in Agen - France at the moment and won't be back here until four days before the wedding, so things will be pretty tight and will have to be finely tuned so that everything goes like clock-work on the day.
We're also expecting 20 between friends and family from overseas, flying in as from the 27th Dec. so we've also named ourselves Bennett Sunshine Tour, organising transport to get them from A to B, flights down to Patagonia after the wedding, accommodation, you name it, we do it, but at least all this keeps us well away from trouble..
Take care dear ones and keep safe.....
God Bless as Grandpa Stan would say.......
Love Jim, Les, Melly and Tess xoxoxox

Hi C & R, looks great fun and am glad everything's going well. I trust you're able to bathe and shave (er, Rich)regularly - one must maintain standards you know. Let me know when your wine supply dwindles and I'll contact the appropriate consulate to redress the situation. Keep flying the flag and stay safe. Incidentally have you seen any pictures of Jenny yet? I've tried sending one of her and Rupert but I don't think it got through the firewall. Cheerio, Matt.

Dear Camilla & Richard,
Great to meet you in Cairo. Just wanted to let you know that I got to London yesterday, all in one piece.
Have a great time and I look forward to hearing about your adventures.
Cheers,
Mac

Hi Camilla and Rich,
Your journey seems to get more exciting every time I look at your site. Huge love to both of you and keep having a wonderful time. Lloyd and I are currently in Argentina - only for two weeks, but we are packing in as much wine, tango and football (!) as we can...
Love Jen

My first check up on your progress since you started - congratulations - you seem to be having a memorable time but I'm hoping you're not lost in the Sudanese desert or wherever at the moment. Albania was especially interesting to me - I spent a week on "holiday" there in the mid-1980s writing an article and posing as a property developer (more acceptable in the communist era than a journalist!) and it doesn't seem to have advanced at all since.

Hi Guys. Great pictures Camilla but why does Rich insist on wearing his stick on expedition beard for every shot? How come you got stuck in wadi Rum; was Camilla driving? Looks like you are have a groovy time. Glad to see Jonny made it out to see you and Biggles. Take care and keep the news coming....

Its so great going into your web site, I was especially interested to see that you have visisted Jordan and Petra, I am very lucky and am going next week also I am visiting Mount Sinia and St Catherine's Monastery. I have taken note and will NOT do the walk you did at Petra ! Have just returned from a great holiday in Corfu with Tanya Andy adn Andys parents and the children and we all had a wonderful relaxing holiday in a Villa on the edge of the beach in a very secluded bay, and as it was the end of the season it was exclusive.Take care love Hazel

After a morning of examining the nether regions of half the population of Chichester it is a pure tonic to look at your photos. As Karen has mentioned I am sorry not to meet you in the Selous but we will be on Mafia the week before Christmas - so if you feel like a luxury holiday let us know! Love to you both
