Hi guys, glad all is going well for you. It really sounds like you are having some adventures! I am in Japan en route to Oz. We had a problem getting the bike back from Istanbul. It was so expensive, so I flew and Richard rode it. Quite an interesting journey through frozen Europe!! He is knackered so I have come away on my own but I hope he may be able to join me in New Zealand in the new year. So I will make it to Oz but not quite in the way that I imagined when we set off all those months ago! Take care, I think of you often. Very impressed to see you beardless Rich! Love Jo

Congratulations on what must be a really super trip and I bet it will be a bit warmer where you are than it is here. What will you be doing when you return to the UK? You will surely have itchy feet. Perhaps you have found a better place to live en route. All best wishes.

Expedition beard RIP! You'll have to grow it back for your return me thinks. Glad to see all going so well and Biggles in fine shape despite the exhaust wire; now he's a proper overland vehicle. Its sub zero here in Blighty.....not much to do except watch rugby and drink fine ale just like in Khartoum. Take care of yourselves and prepare for the Ethiopians.......Ttssssss.........Ttssssss.........

Hi Camilla and Richard. The house is very quiet without your here! I hope that your journey to the border went well. It was fantastic to meet you both, hopefully our life's paths will cross again one day. Keep adventuring and stay safe.

Hope all is well and the trip is as good as it looks. Your photos are superb. Not atall jealous as I wear my fur hat and sheapskin boots in the arctic north. My parents are with me in Glasgow for the last night of my show "Return to the Forbidden Planet". Feeling a little bit worse for wear actually. Think I might have a lie-down.
Lots of love

I agree with Bryn. My nostalgia is lumpy and painful - esp over Egypt. And, yes, be prepared to lose all your friends when you get back with your treasure trove of wonderful photos. You will attract a great deal of Hate! Best possible good luck for the rest of your great adventure. Perhaps we might meet when you get back. I'll even gird the loins to look brieffly at your pics. Patricia the black sheep but nice with it.

Hi Gang - where are you now (19 November) did you make it to Dar yet? And how come only three pictures in Egypt?

Hi, Richard and Camilla,
We met in Luxor on the campsite, together with Darren and Ineka. As far as we can see you have crossed Lake Nasser and are now in Sudan. We are staying at the National Camping Residence, south of Khartoum on the way to Ethiopia. (approx 10 km out of center of town). We will probably be here till beginning of next week, (21/11/05) as we have a car problem and are waiting for parts from SA. Would love to see you.
Best of luck with the trip to Khartoum!
Regards, Carla and Andre

I am the latest of your fans, following your amazing journey with great admiration! Your photos and descriptions bring the trip alive and I am delighted to be travelling through such exotic places - and glad (I have to admit) that I am only doing it by proxy!
Best wishes for your continued success. And may all your decisions be wise ones!
Derek
PS Since you left we've had a lot of rain; how good does that sound to you?
