DAYS 8-10: Again drove through some stunning scenery: pine forested mountains and pristine local villages really make Slovenia a beautiful country. First point of call was Bled, a picturesque lakeside town with a fairytale island in the middle of a crystal clear lake - an eastern european version of Udaipur in India. Day 6-7: Drove through spectacular mountain scenery and pitched camp just outside of Saltzburg. Stopped off in Gmund for lunch in the grounds of the Porsche Museum. This area would be great to come skiing to. Great roads, no doubt something we'll be missing in a couple of months!

DAY 4-5: At last the weather seems to be improving-we spent a couple of days relaxing at the campsite - doing all the little jobs we didn't get time to complete before leaving. We also visited the famous thermal baths at Baden Baden for an evening session of hot tubs, steam rooms, and natural plunge pools. We wanted to use the sauna but there was a big sign on the door stating that "clothes are forbidden" - thought it would be funny to give it a try but only la...

DAY 2: After our slap up lunch in France, we drove across the border and camped in a nice little site in Vogenee. DAY 3: Still raining (the tent is in desperate need of drying out - as are we!) We drove through Belgium, stopped in Luxembourg for lunch and made it across to Germany where we camped in Burl, just outside Baden Baden.

We made it across on the hoverspeed and just about remembered to drive on the right...Spent a night in a little campsite near Arras and felt quite organised with our awning up and roof tent pitched. Unfortunately this didn't last long as we had thunderstorms all night which collapsed the awning, broke a pole and we were rather soggy!
