Kells travels
We had 2nts in Hobart in a lovely clean hostel. Whilst enroute here we visited Queenstown, walked round Franklin river, lake st clair then Mount field national park where we saw walked we walked round Russell falls & had a wee hike up to the tall trees & they were bloody tall!! On way back to hostel we drove up Mount wellington where when peeps got out it was -5 & snowing... me being a wimp stayed in the bus, well it was pitch black so what was the point getting cold & seeing nothing ha ha. The fourth day of tour was a visit to Port Arthur for those of u who don't know this is a historic convict prison, was v.interesting but a little sad also as 10yrs ago they had the massacre there where 35 peeps were killed. We had a tour of the prison & a cruise around the other islands linked. After here we went on to see some caves, views etc, the weather was bad today so not the best sites but ok. Our last day on the tour inc a lot of driving but ended up well as after climbing another mountain & seeing wine glass bay we went to a wildlife park where we got to see Tasmanian devils be fed (nasty little things) then I got to stroke a baby wombat was soooooooo cute I wanted to steal it.
