Caves
We had an early start for a trip to the caves made famous by Brooke Shields in the film Blue Lagoon. We sailed to another island and climbed up and then down into these caves. They were pretty cool. One of the guys with us climbed up onto the rocks and jumped in. I have no upper body strength and cut myself pulling myself onto one of the rocks. There was a queue to get into the next set of caves. To get into the cave you needed goggles as you had to swim through a hole and hold your breathe for 2 seconds and follow the light the guide had on the other side. A lot of people were freaking out but it was a lot easier than people had anticipated. The next cave was pitch black and you had to guide yourselves using the rock, I held Neil's hand and we guided our way along the wall into a cove that had a ceiling with sunlight streaming through. It was echoey and dark but cool to experience.
After the caves we went back to Nabua Lodge for lunch before we got in the ferry to our next island Mantaray. The staff sang goodbye to us. We then had to say goodbye to the girls we had made friends with in the ferry and they waved us off the ferry as we sailed off to our new island.
Mantaray was beautiful. A beach bar and hammocks welcomed us. Our hut was in the rainforest and the bed was comfy but we had to share showers and echo toilets. Neil rested still recovering from being sick while I went snorkelling. It was the best snorkelling I had done so far! It was epic! You weren't allowed to fish in the surrounding waters so they were rich with so many different types of fish, So colourful and beautiful it was amazing!
I woke neil for dinner. We had to pay $70fd for our meals. Such a change as we had a choice of what we wanted. We were given a noodle spring roll, and pumpkin soup and I ordered the fresh fish and mash potatoes. We then went to bed after getting some wifi.
