Tuesday
After an excellent sleep in our private dorm which has its own fridge, TV, bathroom we went and had breakfast served 8-11am. Honey nut loops and some toast reminded me of childhood. Don't understand why American bread tastes sweet???!

Got on the 704 bus to Santa Monica which took about an hour but looking out of the window made time go fast! Walked along Santa Monuca pier and the ocean looked amazing! We walked up the coast to Venice Beach and got some lunch in The Sidewalk Restaurant. We celebrated our first day with a jug of margaritta. Neil ordered a Cob salad and I had a chicken taco. When the food arrived we realised we should have shared as my dish was definitely multiple tacos and Neil's salad could of fed a family of four!!! Lesson learnt!

Picking up some water and buds from the liquor store (provided with individual brown paper bags) we headed to the beach for a swim and a lay down! Amazing! Pure holiday LA vibes! Once we dried off we explored the Venice coastline, stores, mad characters and the weed doctors dressed in green scrubs "medical weed, get prescribed, get lifted" one place would sell it for $30 the next $40!

We headed back towards Santa Monica to catch the bus home. First bus we got on and the female bus driver refused to move because a man in a wheelchair wouldn't sit we're she wanted?! We got off after waiting for 15 mins and got on the next bus which then hit solid traffic making the hour journey about 2 hours!

Back at the hostel we paid $10 for a limo ride around Hollywood and free vodka, Free for a reason as I paid the price the next day! We got to see a night shot of the Hollywood landscape and taken to a club with discounted entry. The club was kinda cool but not my type of music as there were no lyrics just beats but Neil went mental when the played a Wiley beat!

We drunkenly stumbled along the stars and took loads of pictures then got a cab back to Fairfax! My tummy wanted food so we went to Canters a 24hr deli and I ordered a chicken sandwich and chips and Neil had cheesy chips! MASSIVE and left loads :(
