Well, one thing that we did find out, as I phoned a hotel for reservations the morning we were to set out to Yellowstone, is that Yellowstone closes for 2 weeks out of the year to allow snow to build up before their winter season. Coeur D' Alene is a stunning city, and as you will see with a number of the places we visit, that it is probably very busy and active during the summer months. A big beautiful lake, next to a artsy downtown area full of art shops and shopping as well as some cute bars. We popped into a very "green" bar, as David said and had a pint before returning to our hotel. It was a lovely start to our road trip. Tomorrow, onto Bozeman...then Yellowstone.

My mom, George, David and I decided to venture off to the old and seedy underground of Pendleton, OR. Wow...it's finally happening. We have 2 days to finish packing up all of our stuff and haul it to La Grande to put in a storage unit. Then 2 weeks of hanging our with my parents, and lots of time with Jen and baby Irelyn.
