So eventually a day later than planned got tickets or the ferry to Uruguay.
As it was a bank holiday weekend everything was closed so had to wait until the Monday to get across.
The journey took an hour and were across. Met an interestnig Argentian woman in her 60's spoke really good english and learnt that she had travelled quite a lot, but oh my she couldnt stop talking she would ask a question and before i even had a chance to answer she be asking another one!
Was an easy journey the immigration was done at the ferry port.
Got to Colonia and took a taxi to the hostel which was basically a ten minute walk, oh well wasn't to know.
Spent two days here and is a beautiful old colonial town, with old architecture, had a lighthouse and was very nice.
