Two hours later landed in Buenos Aires.
Waited and waited....ooh waited some more for luggage to come through the conveyor belt but no sign of my bag or anyone who had connecting flights.
Then found out that it had been sent to the other airport on the flight that I should have been on. They took my details and said it would be with me the following morning at the hostel.
A guy from NZ that I had met in Santiago was taking a taxi so I jumped in with him and also another Aussie lady, it worked out cheaper to get dropped off, got to the hostel around midnight. Had no pyjamas so just went to sleep in my jeans.
Ended up sleeping on a top bunk that was quite high but sleep for a good 12 hours.
So to sum it up a great start to South America.
Delayed in Auckland by 5 hours, and then miss my connection to Buenos Aires. So had to wait another 2 hours to get next flight which I made by 10 mins.
Get to Buenos Aires only to find out that my rucksack ended up at the other airport.
Welcome to South America courtesy of LAN....!
Spent a week in Buenos Aires walked around and Daria arrived a day after me which was nice, I previously travelled with Daria in Asia, was nice to see her again.
Did a walking tour of the city and the guide wasn't too bad looking, have to say the Argentina guys are really good looking.
Visited where Eva Peron is buried; the cemetery is really strange all the coffins are on show and not underground and it is set in a huge place.
Visited the oldest café and had a submarine, hot milk with chocolate, lush.
