Backpackers in Paradise!

Absolutely LOVED it here stayed for four nights and partied non stop! It is definitely party central!! My second fav place in Oz... The hostel we stayed in was full of lovely people who liked to get everyone involved and have fun together! We were lucky enough to get upgraded to our own twin room after asking to be moved out of our not so clean eight bed dorm. The days weren't so great as couldn't do anything because of the bloody rain yet again!! So frustrating as I desperately wanted to visit the theme parks in the Gold Coast they are meant to be really good :( but never mind we may be able to get to them from Brisbane.

Basically spent our time here joining in with the hostel activities for a change, consuming too much goon & pure blonde, playing pool, getting involved with wine and cheese night, making the most of the cinema room, taking dance lessons off a funny French guy, getting dolled up then going out with bin liners over us, thinking about taking up offers of free champagne all night if we stayed at the club, meeting really friendly people for the first time since Melbourne, visiting every hot spot in Surfers, going on the Backpackers BIG Night Out, eating pasta bake, laughing non stop, locking the neighbours out of our shared bathroom constantly, getting insulted for wearing eyelashes, strolling past the beach wishing for sunshine, walking past the shops wishing I had room in my case to buy more clothes, praying for nice weather to hit a theme pack grr haha!! That pretty much sums up our time in Surfers Paradise, was most definitely my kinda place! Good job we landed here on a weekend to make the most of the nightlife and just like back home we got up to our own Jubilee antics!! If we didn't already have other things booked for the East Coast we would have been tempted to stay longer like the guys who arrived three weeks ago and have yet to make plans to move on...
