Hi everyone,

It's been a bit of a nightmare trying to update from Fiji, but we have finally managed to find somewhere with a fast enough connection!

We have been here for about a week now (I think, crossing the international date line has screwed with my sense of time). We have been having a great time so far and the weather has been great. Its the summer here, which means blistering heat and humidity and tropical showers every now and then. It's nice to have a bit of colour on my skin again.

We have been doing a few things like exploring cities and villages, but really just want to take it easy. We do have a trip planned to the Mamanuca island group before we leave which are supposed to be some of the best in Fiji. There is one island where the movie Castaway was made (Castaway island funnily enough), which looks particularly beautiful.

The past few days have been very quiet in the resort we are in and its kind of like having our own bar (very cheap) and really nice pool with a built in jacuzzi and water slide. So we have been spending lots of time here in peace and quiet!!
