Well we braved it and went bk to the horrible guesthouse and to our relief we hadnt been broken into, even without the pink padlock! we both got settled and got excited to look at the map and look at some of the places dan had told us to visit! trying to get to sleep sober in such an unsafe place didnt go down to well and i found myself awake after an hour and the homesickness and reality of where we were and how long we would be gone for kicked in! Stupid me got myself into such a state that poor amy had to get up and give me a cuddle i wound myself up so much i insisted i needed to phone adam! bearing in mind its 4.30 am! poor amy bless her got herslef dressed! inside out i may add and headed to the shop with me! well we thought the streets were scary in the day your should see them in the early hours! horrible! i bought a phone cared which refussed to work in the payphone which led to me gettin more upset! i admited defeat and we went back to our room which suddenly felt a lot safer after the street! and had a good old chat about how silly i was being! i needed to pinch myself and remind myself i was on the trip of a life time and should be enjoying it! well after that i led awake till about 7 am going over everything in my head and managed to get a couple of hours sleep! we have now checked out and checked into a lovely boutique hotel down the road so spirits are back up apart from the lack of sleep! which we are trying to catch up with but unfortunatly only seem to be able to this during the day! we have decided to see how the next couple of days go and we may leave bangkok earlier as it really is not our cup of tea! especially as the protests are now all over the news! and due to our lovely new hotel having a tv were more aware now!

On a lighter note we have booked an elephant trek and rafting for tomorrow and hopefully we may head for a swim or some much needed retail therapy later (so amy can buy some fisherman pants!) so things are looking up! We can definatly say travelling is much harder than we both could ever have imagined......
