Day 38-40:

Day 38 - 29/04/17
After a short bus ride we arrived in Santa Tecla and checked into our hotel. After settling in we went out to get some food and then returned to our room before once again heading out to check out the town. In town we saw the church and the municipal building, strolled through the markets and then got something to eat. After a while we caught a taxi back to our hotel and settled in for the night.

Day 39 - 30/04/17
We woke up and went out to have some breakfast. After eating we went to the mall and walked around for a while, checking out all the shops. We then caught a taxi to Joya de Ceren Archaeological Site. This site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it was once a Mayan city that is still preserved due to being covered in ash and dust from a volcanic eruption. After we'd strolled through the site and the museum we then caught the bus back to our room. After a while we set out again for dinner before returning to our room and crashing for the night.

Day 40 - 1/05/17
We woke up, said goodbye to Santa Tecla and made our way to the bus station to catch the bus to our next destination.
