Day 33-36:

Day 33 - 24/04/17
After a lengthy bus ride we finally arrived in Santa Ana and immediately checked into our hotel. We then went out for something to eat before returning to our room and crashing for the night.

Day 34 - 25/04/17
We woke up and had breakfast and then set out to see the ruins of Tazumal. We wandered around the ruins for a while before checking out the museum that was also on site. After leaving the ruins we visited some of the souvenir stores and then went to find some food. After making our way back to Santa Ana we then caught a taxi to Coatepeque Lake. We ate at one of the restaurants here and enjoyed views of the lake. After a while we caught a bus back to our hotel. After relaxing for a while we then set out for some dinner before returning to our room and settling in for the night.

Day 35 - 26/04/17
We woke up early and had breakfast before catching a bus to Cerro Verde National Park. From here we hiked up Santa Ana Volcano. The hike was challenging but the magnificent views from the top were an incredible reward. After we'd spent a bit of time up the top taking in the beauty it was time to make our way back down. Once we were at the bottom we had some food and then caught a bus back to our hotel. After relaxing for a bit we then set out for some dinner before returning to our room and crashing for the night.

Day 36 - 27/04/17
We woke up and had breakfast and then it was time to say goodbye to Santa Ana and catch the bus to our next destination.
