As soon as we reached Nha Trang we were greated by beautiful sunshine as soon as we stepped of the train.....we knew at this point that we would like to settle here for a week as so far we haven't had more than a few days in one place.
Nhr Trang is a gorgeous holiday resort that is definately the place to go if you wanted a nice relaxing holiday by the beach in Vietnam.....the beach stretches for miles along the front and the bars and restaurants cater well for us Westerners!!!
One day we vent to visit the markets at Nha Trang....this mainly consisted of food markets where the locals are either selling fruit or cooking up some kind of meat dish to sell!!!! Some of it looked ok but i definately wasn't in a hurry to try it!!!!
From the beach at Nha Trang you can see the Island of VinPearl which i understand is owned by the Russion Maffia....the Island consisted of a waterpark, fair ground, shopping mall, man-made beach and a few other attractions....there is a sky ride which takes you across or alternatively you can go by ferry.
Along with some friends we have met along the way we visited this Island on the last day, mainly for the waterpark.....I can honestly say the waterpark was the worst one i've ever been to, the fact that there was hardly anyone there when we arrived kinda said it all. The majority of the slides were closed for maintenance and only a couple opened for an hour at a time (there were only 2 opening slots a day for each slide) . Highlights of the waterpark would definately have to be the wave pool which was good and the children's pool/slides, which us girls enjoyed!!!!! The worse slide ever was the Tsunami slide, me and Hayley went down this only to come out at the bottom in massive pain....it was so rough we were both nearly in tears afterwards...and no it wasnt us just being soft!!!! hehe!
After spending a really good week here soaking up the sun we set off on a 4-5 hour bus journey to the next coastal resort further south called Mui Ne.
