The 3 day trip to Sydney was loads better than I thought it would be. We stopped at Wilsons Promontery (national park) and saw kangaroos and emus straight away. After that we drove to a gorgeous beach and spent a couple of hours there. I got a bit burnt. The next stop was called the Lakes entrance (stop over for the night). We had really nice fish and chips for tea and then walked to see the 90 mile beach.
Very early start for our drive to Mount Kosciusko/Thredbo (stop over). In the winter this is used for skiing but in the summer the chair lifts still work. So we got the chair lift to a look out point then walked 3km to the next lookout. Claire and I pulled the short straw and had to sleep in the boys dorm, with a really weird French guy and Swiss bloke!
