DAY 2
First day of our Eastern Seaboard trip and everyone was full of energy, after a hearty breakfast and a good cup of coffee I was ready to go! We headed back to the Airport to pick up our new travel friends from Arizona then off we went to the Boston Garden! A beautiful senery with such a calming environment. I could have spent all day in that garden, we saw duck boats and the Make Way for Ducklings childrens book character statues there! Momma Duck Mrs. Mallard and her eight ducklings Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Oack, Pack, and Quack. After we walked around and took pictures through the 'mall' which is not quite the same of what we call a mall in our society today. After that we heded over to the Prudential center for lunch which is a huge mall much bigger than the biggest one we have back in Oklahoma but the Prudential also is included with another yet beautiful garden area! I got Qdoba for lunch then a group of us walked around for the rest of our time going in and out of stores trying not to buy anything! We headed to the Holocaust memorial which was really emotional reading the things the survivors stated planted on glass walls as we walked through standing over vents which pushed up steam to resemble the coals that were used to burn the bodies. All of it just pulled the memorial together and showed evryone who walked through it showed their respects and kept quiet which showed on how much of an effect it gave everyone. Our group traveled half ablock down to Quicy Market for dinner and some time to shop around. I love food and Quincy Market made me feel like I was in food paradise from seafood, to burgers, to pizza, to chinese, to desserts like no other. I ended up getting chinese which consisted of teriyaki chicken, veggies, and rice. we headed of the tightly packed area of chairs and table to outside where we weather was perfect and where we could study the beauty of Boston. My little group walked around went in an out of shops and talked as we talked about things we all had in common. Dessert time! We headed over to Mike's Pastry's for some real Italian Cannolis after indulging our new addictions we all were ready for bed! I have notice Boston is much busier than Norman but thats with people walking around there is not as many cars here so traffic is not bad at all. I am definitely not used to all of these people walking! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings our way!
