Time to dust off the Spanish phrasebook and launch ourselves into Central America. Mexico City is BIG. No it´s MASSIVE. After a while in easy peesy English-speaking countries, we were caught a little off guard in such a crazy place. But a few tacos and coronas later, the Spanglish was just about getting us from A to B.
With such a big city, we just had to sign up for the open top bus tour (officially love them) - only Mexico City seems to be clogged with permanent streams of traffic. So after 3 painful hours looking at the same buildings, we decided to get off and walk. Ticked off the main tourist sites, hung about in some pretty squares and then it was time to taste the real Mexico. Tequila and Luche Libre wrestling.
Now the real stuff is drinkable. That horrid stuff they serve in ´The Courtyard´in Leeds (Pliggers...) really has left bad memories. As for the wrestling - men dressed in pink spandex leggings and crazy masks? Sooo cool. Ant was in boy heaven although I really could have done with Vince McMann commentating.
