Hi everyone, hope you are all well!

Have not done a blog update in ages as have been so busy, but wanted to definately do an an update of the amazing carnival with Miss Oberg! We have had so much fun and it has been completely crazy!

When I met Anna in Rio at the hostel it was so good to see a friendly face from home! We decided to hit Cocopabana beach that day and got on a bus where we got off at the wrong stop and ended up walking for hours but finally found the main beach! It was so funny and like being in a film as there were so many posers! Both women and men have the most incredible bodies and all wear the skimpiest costumes in the world - its fantastic to people watch and we were both in our glory!

The first night we hit a street party in Lapa which was an interesting experience. Lots of sleezy guys (and a few nice ones). Everyone kept calling us~beautiful cos they have a thing about the English girls - ha ha it was pretty entertaining! Then we got chatting to some guys that could not beleive that Anna had come to Rio with a boyfriend and were saying repeat after me "you do not have a boyfriend in Rio".

The next day we went up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Thought we would walk up! Well the walk was more like a climb and by the time we had got to the top it was like a full blown work out and we were all sweating (very nice) but it was defianately worth it and we got the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf where the views were just incredible. We then decided to hit the beach again and ended up getting involved in a "bloco" - which is like a street party that parades down the road! It was so much fun and Anna and I bought princess tiaras (which was nothing compared to what some people had). Ended up drinking lots of Caprinihas and got very merry to say the least.

Went to a few more blocos and street parties and I had a brazilian kiss which made Annas night! On the last night we went to a gay ball and met up with some of my friends from the Dragoman trip and partied hard with them. It was so good and there were loads of drag queens and brilliant costumes!

We are now completely chilling out on Illa Grande which is just paradise and just what we need after 5 days of partying.

Hope everyone at home is well, hear the weather is getting nice. Its my last few days in Brazil then I am heading of to New Zealand next Tuesday so my next blog will be from there...cant beleive how quick the time flies!
