Hi all hope you are all ok!

Well what a few days I have had in New Zealand! The weather on arrival was pretty rubbish and coming from the gorgeous sunshine of Brazil was a complete shock to the system...It took me a few days to get over the loss of having hot brazilian people to look at at and the lack of Brazilian cake available (Anna you will know where I am coming from here!).

Anyway after a day in the rain in Auckland I decided to book myself on a 'Stray' bus as the Kiwi Experience was full but think I am pleased with my decision as I've met a really cool group of people, our bus is smaller so you get to know everyone more and there is lots of Irish people which I adore (especially the gorgeous accents) so big smiles all round there!

The first day we went to this really cool beach and went Boogie boarding. It was so much fun and the waves were massive. I decided I wanted to go out deeper and then the next minute I could feel myself getting completely dragged and the beach was looking further away! I managed to swim myself back in whereas the others had to be picked up by a lifeguard - so I was pretty impressed with myself there!

Had a mad time so far and have done so much already! We went caving yesterday which included going down a pitch black cave and walking through water, swimming in freezing cold water, going in really enclosed caves, crawling etc and tubing in the cave in these rubber ring things! I am pretty scared of the dark and also am a little caustraphobic so yes I was so scared but actually ended up really enjoying it and having a brilliant time!

In the evening we went to a Mauri house and had to learn to do this special dance which was we had to perform for the boys then they had to do one back for us! Very funny indeed!

Today we have been grade 5 water rafting which was lots of fun and a great way to cure the hangover! We went down a 7m waterfall and there was a 50% chance of the boat flipping over! Luckily for my boat we did not flip and managed to stay in (thank god!)! Got some brilliant photos with classic 'Katie' faces on :)

Have also been drinking a little bit too much again (the Irish like to drink - I blame them ha ha). All is good though and having lots of fun!
