Last Wednesday I went over to Kapiti Island and the weather was beautiful.  We took a boat over (the island only allows 50 visitors per day and you have to get a permit from the Government).  I walked up the Wilkinson Track (which is meant to be easier!) and it took me nearly 2 hours to walk over 500m up to the summit.  The view was amazing, the sea was so blue and the sun was shining.  It took another hour to walk back down.

I spent the last few days in Wellington mainly shopping!  There are some great shops, and I also went to the museum.  On Saturday the weather was bad all day and Tali is really into her beading, so she helped me make 8 pairs of earrings, that beading is seriously addictive! 

Saturday night was my last night at Tali's.  Her friends Richard and Amber came over and we drank wine and ordered Pizzsa.  Then we got the interactive Harry Potter game out and played that then Sing Star!  Me and Tali beat the boys, we sang duets and solos.  Was quite a laugh! Got some good video footage of the night courtesay of DJ! We started to play a music quiz called Buzz on the Playstation but there was a power cut!  The weather was so, so bad.  That ended the night really, but it was past 1am and we were quite tired!

I left Wellington yesterday and am now in Lake Taupo. I had a 6 hour bus trip and arrived just after 6pm.  I got so lost looking for the hostel, my bags weighed a ton and I was so frustrated but luckily found the place. Today the weather is crap and raining, just been on a boat around the lake and I am freezing!  Was really nice to get a view of Lake Taupo, so many nice houses here! 

Heading to Rotorua tomorrow for a couple of days.  I may get to Auckland earlier than planned and go to Pahia in the Bay of Islands for a few days next week.  The weather is much nicer and warmer up there x x x x
