This time in a month I will be home - CRAZY stuff! Another day today of beautiful sunshine - I love the Tropical North! I caught a free bus transfer to Dougie's hostel in Port Douglas, the rather rough road ran up beside the rainforest, the mountains of the Great Dividing Range and the stunning coastline. It is peak season up here in this up market holiday town but it isn't buzzing with too many people! I lay on the beacu for a couple of hours in the arvo but because of the rainforest trees I got fed up of running away from the shade so went for a wander around the town, I found a little suntrap beach which wasn't being attacked by trees so I enjoyed a little more sun.
This morning I enjoyed another lie-in.....and then wandered into town to check out the local Sunday markets down at the marina. Not massively different from markets you get in tourist towns all around the world and I wasn't overly impressed so I made my way to the beach for the second day in a row! Rudely after about 2 hours of sun time the clouds decided to take over the sky so I went for a wander up onto the headland where there were some awesome views. I spent the rest of the day chillaxing in the hostel, finishing off another book and organsing my stuff ready to move on again tomorrow.
