Katie's Travels in Italia
A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum...
haha. I got so lost this morning on my way to class. We were supposed to meet in front of the Colosseo, but Katie and I got lost. We ended up walking through the Forum on the way to the Colosseo. We made it...5 minutes late for class. Oops. For my Roman History class this morning we went through the Roman Forum. Alessandro, my professor, is awesome. He's cute, too. Haha. It makes class better. Roman Forum = amazing. I can't even describe how much I love Roma. It's so much better than Florence. And the guys are hotter here.
So last night we had a free cocktail thing at a bar near our school. I got a tequilla sunrise, and it was terrible. The tequila they used was cheaper than the tequila Kendall and I got for the fajita party to make drinks for everyone else. (We got good tequila for us.) I don't even know why I'm telling this. Oh well. Oh, but on my walk home, some Italian guy came up to me and tried to dance with me. Ashley grabbed my arm and gave him a very dirty look. We went on our merry way.
Today I am using the washing machine for the first itme. It's weird, the washing machine that is. Everything is an adventure.
I like my apartment. I get a good workout walking to it. It's one of the smaller apartments, but we have a tv, dvd player, and an oven. The oven is crucial. I've started making my own dinners instead of going out every night. But Italian food is so good.
So if you haven't seen the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun, you should. There's a great part in it where Marcello explains traffic in Rome to Frances. Green means go, yellow means something (i just don't remember), and red is only a suggestion. Basically, that is how Roman traffic is. You have to be very careful. And Romans aren't afraid to use their horns either.
This is it for now. I'm too hungry to type anymore. Ciao!
