Edinburgh - Three days of rest after our crazy Irish tour. Edinburgh did not get off to a great start. We firstly had to hike up a very high hill in order to reach our hostel. However, our hostel was directly below Edinburgh Castle, so we had a great view. We shopped. We walked along the Royal Mile and got annoyed with the tourists.

We went for a visit to Edinburgh Castle, saw boys in kilts and men wearing tartan pants. Lots of men playing bagpipes all over the city. One of the best experiences was sitting in our hostel room and listening to a group of children performing a tattoo outside the castle.

We went on a night walk around Edinburgh with a group from our hostel. We got to see all the major sites lit-up and looking very pretty. We were walking around at about 10:30pm and it was still not completely dark - very surreal feeling.
