Arrived in York and spent the afternoon walking around the town. It is very pretty and green and old. After being accosted by women wanted us to go on bus tours we escaped into the walled part of the city centre. Lots of the buildings were tudor style and looked as though they were about to cave inward or fall over.

We had great english pudding with custard for dessert that evening and met the blue power ranger! He is actually called Nick and he is from New Zealand, but he is the guy who dresses up in the lycra and prances around saving the world from bad guys. We had lots of fun with blue power ranger guy, walking around York in search of a fudge shop and chasing Squirrels around the park.

We spent ages looking for something cultural to do in York. In the end the most cultural thing we did was shop in the shambles area of York. We bought shoes.
