Hmm, pretty castle!! high up on hill. pretty city too. lots of coloured houses along the river and we're pretty sure we found barbie's dreamhouse, lots of pretty cobbled streets and no twisted ankles either!

our greatest achievement in salzburg - apart from strudel and schnitzel eating - the Sound of Music Tour! yes, it was as tacky as it sounds. but pretty sweet to see the house where the children fall into the lake or where maria stared at the house through a gate for the first time, or where liesel fell in love in a gazebo.

we admired the mirabell gardens - very ornate and prettily set out. fountains and arbours from sound of music here also.

big fountain outside the dom (cathedral) - horses snort water! also from the sound of music.

hostel had the most ridiculous bunkbeds we've come across with teeny tiny 3inch wide steps to climb up that tilted when your foot touched them. however we did get to watch the sound of music every night. views up to the abbey - also from the sound of music.

we met up with naples Hannah and caught in a thunderstorm. yes that's right - thunder! and lots and lots of rain. we hid from the rain in a bar, drenched completely from head to toe in our teeny tiny summer dresses.

i found my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book!! woohoo!!!
