Well today's another day. There are people solving world problems and here I am getting over-excited because I found a lost sock in my pile of t-shirts.
I have spent the last 24 hours in a cemetery watching whirling dervishes and feeling sick with the incense that was shooken all over me. Lots of very mentally sick people there in 'trances'. The whole thing reminded me of these nutty American preachers who run around speaking in tongues.
Today I got a rusty boat to go and see where the Blue Nile meets the White. Not much to see except a very strong current which scared me a bit especially as the boat broke down - there's a theme going on here. Breakfast in a Street cafe was mashed up broad beans. I went to the market afterwards - lots of tat made in China so I was in heaven, then went to the wrestling! We arrived a wee bit late as we got lost, but went into the pitch to see 7 foot tall men chucking each other around. Actually the whole fighting thing was a bit girly, lots of staring and whacking each other over the head. The crowd didn't agree with the referee's decision, invaded the ring and that was that. As they were all so tall and you get stopped every 10 yards to have a natter with someone, I soon got lost before about a hundred people came to my rescue.
Interesting fact of the day: the street coffee with ginger powder (and 6 sugars) is even nicer than the cardamom.
