Full day of shopping then onto a birthday dinner with good company :) today was a great day! Had a new experience however when we got off the train for dinner and came across a guy that was dripping in blood. We are pretty sure he has been stabbed. Clearly there are parts of London you don't want to go at night :s

This was a nice an early morning with just 3 hours sleep, and then my taxi was late (the booked one didn't show up), and then the plane was delayed an hour due to air traffic in Dubai... Good start. However got through Heathrow airport customs easily (barely anything to go through, starting to think Auckland airport goes over the top) and went to paddington station to wait for my cousin in Starbucks. I have to say its great to be back in the UK and spend Christ...

This was a very relaxing day. I really only had riding on a camel left, but it wasn't worth going into town for this (particularly when we didn't know where it was). So we stayed at Shaun's for the day: had lunch at a local restaurant (Shakespeare's), baked afghans :p (yep, still bake when overseas), then all the excitement began in the evening! Kiwi Ball time!!! Today had a mixed everything, from luxury to skyscrapers to haggling in the markets. We started off in the Dubai mall (again). The mall is connected to the Burj Khalifa which we had a 10.30 booking for. The tallest building in the world at 823 m high. Takes 1min 45 seconds to go from the ground floor to the 124 floor! FAST! But you don't feel the speed. The engineering lifts have NOTHING on this lift haha. It was a really clear day so we were able to see for mile...

We went all over today! Started at the Mall of the Emirates, ver very big again! However this mall doesn't have the same class as the Dubai Mall; it's more casual, like a hangout place. It has an indoor ski field, with penguins and everything! Naturally I bought some chocolates here and perfume from Victoria's Secret. I didn't mention that I went into this store at the Dubai Mall and the changing rooms have their own platforms and 3 mirrors for a full view. Som...
