Woke up at 4am in order to hit the road at 4:30 am today. Our ferry from Port-aux-Basque left at 11:45, you had to arrive at least 2 hours early and we were about 4 hours away. Another beautiful morning, that continued into a beautiful day. We started with a trip to Lobster Head Cove, a Parks Canada site with a lighthouse and very interesting history of the people who lived their and ran it. Bonnie Lou, a local woman gave us an excellent tour/history of the area, herself and the lighthouse. What started as a 20 min tour, quickly became an hour tour. But it was wonderful! Would definitely recommend visiting the lighthouse and trails...

Today was the day of many hikes and i loved it! We stopped in at the visitor's centre for maps, and the grocery store for some food. First hike was the 4km Stanleyville hike near Lomond. It was advertised as a hike to an abandoned village, but much to our dismay there were no structures of any sort left. Today was uneventful for the most part. We checked out of the residence in the morning, loaded the car and went to the fastest Tim Horton's I've ever experienced. Probably my favourite day thus far! After yesterday's relaxation I was itching for excitement! We started by driving to Signal Hill and completing the North Head Trail. It was lots of stairs, rocky ledges, gravelly slopes and slippery rocks. The views were spectacular and the Blueberries plentiful.
