Hey guys, loving our time in Australia now that the sun has found us again! We left Townsville for Airlie Beach last Thursday and organised a trip out to the Whitsundays and one from Hervey Bay to Fraser Island. The Whitsundays tour was three days and two nights sailing and was fantastic! We did another dive and lots more snorkelling where we saaw the biggest fish ever!! Was easily 2 feet long and purple! We also spotted turtles and a dolphin. We went to White Haven Beach which is incredible - the sand is so fine that it feels more like your walking through flour. There were about 20 people on our boat, including a couple we met during the cyclone, and we had a lot of fun together. Was a bit weird living on a boat for a bit but with the help of a few seasickness tablets we were fine! Tried to sleep on the deck the first night but the wind kept waking me up so had to give up after a while - it was good fun though and I have never seen so many stars at once! Airlie Beach was ok but it is more just a base for people to go before they hit the Whitsundays, we went out with our tour group when we got back and had a pretty good night. I also bumped into a friend from school which was a bit random! Last night we got the overnight bus and did the 13 hour journey from Airlie to Hervey Bay and tomorrow we set out for Fraser Island. Its supposed to be amazing so we're pretty excited, plus I might get the chance to drive down the beach and stuff there which should be fun.
