Kate & Rob's Adventure
Ba ba black sheep
We packed up our belonging - which are growing by the day- and headed to the airport. We got there on time, checked in and made changes to our remaining legs in record time, which was a nice change as i don't think either of us were feeling in the mood to stand in lines all morning.
Our plane left on time and we headed off south away from the heat of Australia towards a cold front in New Zealand. We arrived on time, got all our bags and went to our accomodation, I booked this and it is a little out of the city but is a self contained flat so allows us to have a bit of freedom for the few nights we are there.
We have'nt been here long enough to give an accurate account of New Zealand, but we have been around Christchurch and it has a very English feel. It is a small city with a Cathedral and market and lots of shops. There is a relaxing atmosphere to the town and seems a good place to start our journey.
The weather is alot colder than Australia, we dont want to buy a coat as once we have done here it will be pointless but it feels like autumn/fall and with the skies clear there is a crisp feeling in the air. We'll do our best to keep warm (hats and gloves at the market) and we will keep you all up to date with our new country to explore.
Love and kisses to you all, thinking of you and miss you
Rob and Kate
