Just caught up with your photos and blogs. The kids loved the postcard - thank you.
I can't believe Kate did the white water rafting - it looks far too scary for my little sister (Sam thinks it looks really cool). Hope you're having fun in the campervan. Let us know when you get to South Island and what route you're taking. Hope the weather's not too cold, but you do look cute in your South American woolly hats....

We think you are two real cool dudes doing this... I only wish that me, Sharon, Sue & Kev had done this at your age, but in those days you could only travel on mules!

Hi Ed and Kate,
Saturday, 15th September, 2007.
Thanks for the postcard it arrived yesterday. Sue and I debated who had actually bought it, was it Ed in bragging mode or Kate in wishful thinking mode?
Things here are all OK, although we are going back to Baildon today for an overnight with H and Sharon, going out for a curry - the 1st one since we moved on the 29th of June - that's 2 1/2 months without a curry, i wonder if we'll have lost the taste.
We are also calling in to your mum and dad's (Ed) to help them set up Outlook on their new laptop computer. Slight problems with an old version of Outlook and a new Windows Vista.
Right that's all for now ...................except for

Hi Kate and Ed,
Sunday, 9th Sept 2007, 18:30 hrs.
First of all, an observation. Have you seen any of the conspiracy theories about the American landings on the moon, re: it was all a set up and they never got to the moon only the Nevada desert!
Well I'm getting a bit of deja vue here. the pictures that you say are Lake Titicaca look suspiciously like the canalbasin at Bank Newton on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
Are you sure that you're in Peru and are not in a 5 star hotel in the dales, faking lots of photos with the aid of a television crew and design team?
I must admit the photo of "My little buddy" is difficult to explain away, not many people in Bank Newton would want to nick Ed's trainers (although they probably aren't as bad as Vicki's - Ed, you can explain that to Kate)
I am glad that you are finally getting away from the standard Cheeseburger and Chips food, although Crepes and Hot chocolate seems a little froggy, but then I've just remembered the French restaurant just up the road from Bank Newton - it's all falling into place!
I'm a bit surprised that the peruvians would serve crepes with chocolate sauce and what appears to be Ice cream, that's a very French thing or is Jane following you round to make sure that you eat properly.
Right not going to say to more, Vicki has told me off for the Verbal D*******
So it's goodnight from me and it's goodnight from him (Sue really)

Today's joke(ish)
A man and his wife were driving their Recreational Vehicle across the country and were nearing a town spelled Kissimee. They noted the strange spelling and tried to figure how to pronounce it - KISS-a-me; kis-A-me; kis-a-ME. They grew more perplexed as they drove into the town.
Since they were hungry, they pulled into a place to get something to eat. At the counter, the man said to the waitress:
"My wife and I can't seem to be able to figure out how to pronounce this place. Will you tell me where we are and say it very slowly so that I can understand."
The waitress looked at him and said: "Buuurrrgerrr Kiiiinnnng."

Hiya
You sound to be having a wonderful time. The cheesburger and chips looked nice - ha ha!! That will teach you to try and be clever!!
Called to see Jane the other day (on my way home from a hard day at work) and yes Ed, she was fast asleep in front of the tele - poor Neil out working all hours (Jane will kill me for this) - oh but she had been working so hard playing tennis...............!!!! I wont be getting any lemon meringue pies whipped up in a hurry now, will I?
Weather just fab here, 20+ degrees - Graham and I met for a drink after work at the Acorn - I felt like we were having a secret affair!!
Darent write anymore on here cos you never know who might be reading it!!!!!!!!!! Im sure Hayden and Nicky will take the p...s out of me, as usual!! I note they havent sent you a message - fine mates!!
