Hello There!!

This will prob be quite a short blog as we havent done too much since the last one!! On Saturday we took a wonder to Auckland harbour and then had a look at the shops we then started to put together our driving music for when we get the car.

Yesterday, Auckland was hosting a world triathlon competition. We were planning to go to Auckland Zoo but because of the triathlon most of the buses we rerouted so we couldnt find the one we needed to get. So we decided to go for a wonder and went to the harbour again and decided to get a boat over to Devonport as it was a really sunny day. Devonport is completely different from Auckland, much more laid back like a small seaside town with a row of shops. As I may have mentioned before, Auckland has loads of volcanic cones (such as Mt Eden) and so we decided to treck up Mt Victoria in Devonport after having just finished a pint of cider!! (Although it was the nicest cider I have ever tasted!) So we trekked up this big hill in flip flops (as I thought we were going to the zoo) and at the top there were beautiful views across the Huraki Gulf and back to Auckland city. So we sunbathed at the top for a while and then decided to go back. On the way back we watched the end of the triathlon (we think UK had quit halfway as they were nowhere to be seen!!!!).

After we had been back at the flat for a while we noticed Alan's face had turned tomato red (from sun burn). That night we decided to go out for a meal in a nearby courtyard with a few restaurants in it, so we decided on a Greek and Turkish place where the food was excellent and had a really nice atmosphere. However, Alan thought that he had got away with his red face until they turned this really bright light on and he shone like a beacon!!!! Aside from that we had a perfect day!

Today we are planning to get ourselves some sun cream, after sun and big rucksack to take away with us when we travel different placed.
