This morning we checked out and continued on our exploration of Canberra. We first walked to Parliament House where the Australian House of Representatives and Senate both sit. We approched it through a very impressive moat and when we entered the size was also very impressive. Luckily we got there just in time for the free guided tour which was really informative and interesting. You can even stand on the roof as it was designed that way so that the people could symbolically be above the government. Many of the design elements were also symbolic of the Australian country, representing the blossom of the trees etc.
We then went to the National Art Gallery, where we saw all differnt genres of art including some paintings by Monet, Picasso and Cezane.
Then we headed back 2 hostel collected our stuff and got on bus 2 Sydney. An uneventful journey aft yesterdays we have now got to Sydney!
