Today was the long travel day as we travelled from Thailand to Malaysia. We started the journey at 7.30am and travelled for 4 hours in mini-vans for lunch just before the border with Malaysia.

After switching mini vans and a basic thai lunch of shrimp fried rice we headed 1hour to the border, where we went through passport control gaining 2 stamps and losing an hour (now plus 8 hours)

We then travelled for another 4 hours til we met our destination of Penang, where we travelled through storms and bush fires due to the heat!! (37 degrees)

After dumping our stuff in the hotel the storm stopped and we were able to head to a food court where we had some japanese food for dinner which was really gd.

Then it was an early night back to the hotel, ready to see the sights of Penang tomorrow.
