Back to reality in a 6 bedded shared dorm, the hostel was quite chilled out but the room was the actual biggest sweat pit with a flimsy pointless fan in the corner of the room.

On our first night we ventured on an unexpected Backpackers arranged bar crawl The place was booming, it was like we were on a usual girly holiday in a party town in Europe, 4 different clubs and ended up with free drinks all night, with the reps offering to get us drinks on their bar tabs....of course we didn't say no. We think the only money we spent was on a slice of pizza at the end of the night, typical!

It seriously rained hard here though on the second day but we both couldn't handle remaining in our sweat pit room so decided to look like drowned rats instead and went for a wander in to the centre. Then chilled out at night ready for Australian day the next day.

Got a phone call from our new friends David and Henry that we met on the bar crawl and David had booked Katherine in to a surf lesson the next morning to give her a kick up the bum and seen as though Laura wasn't getting in the water with the sharks, we went along witht the idea..

Took a bus up to the main beach, arrived a bit late because it was bit a treck and we both didn't want to break the habit of a life time.

Kat now had her surf t-shirt on and off she went, had a 2 hour lesson, it was definitely hard work and tiring but Kat was just happy that she managed to stand up once, yeah! And all along Laura and Henry were fabulously taking lots of pictures, as well as Laura chatting up the surf instructor, who we then spent the rest of the day with having drinks and then ended up chlling at his pool. Random, but hey....

The rest of our time was spent going to 'wet n wild' water park which was a fabulous fun day out with the boys, wandering around the shops trying not to buy anything, which was seriously difficult for Kat and Laura had another random romantic night out with Matt the surf instructor and rang Kat up sounding incredibly plastered, whilst Kat stayed in (alcohohl free) and had a movie night with the guys and helped to cook a huge, amazing feast of food, yum!

Laura loved Surfers, would definitely go back...

Next stop Byron Bay....
