Getting really excited now. Counting the hours. Geraint wanted to come to the airport with us to meet you but we didn't think we would have room for him with all your extra luggage, plus you will probably sleep all the way home. I think everyone will just be here at the house to meet you. Can't wait. On the list Carl did for me it said you landed at 5 am so we will be there in plenty of time don't worry. Ring Andrew's mobile when you are ready. There will be so much hugging from everyone you had better warn Carl. Food: you may be sky diving dare-devils but not very adventurous with your food are you. I'm sure it would have just tasted like chicken. Go on, go mad. They say snake is nice. See you soon. Load of love. x x x
Worried Again Mum
Am I right in thinking that you are now both going to be jumping off a building? What is wrong with you pair. Most people are terrified of hights but you pair are taking the mick. I suppose you have it in common so you're well suited. I feel sick just looking off the top of the multi-storey car park.
Well hopefully you will get it over and done with. I like to hear about the diving. Now that's my type of dream and excitement. I wish I could have done it in Egypt but age definately got the better of me. My life flashed before me so I've given up even hoping I would be able to ever dive with the fishes.
Can't believe you will be home in 9/10 days, but really looking forward to seeing you both, as is everyone. And no losing your passports accidently on purpose to try and stay on as you are both having such a good time. Carl, your mum is missing you loads and can't wait to see you both and all your photo's and souvenirs. It was lovely to chat with you on Facebook the other evening. PS you know have a car with a heater and I think you will need it as the weather here is awful. Rain, rain and more rain with a bit of wind thrown in. Love to you both x x x x.
Proud Mum
How will you ever settle down to a normal boring existence after everything you have done on your travels. What brilliant pictures even if they did make me feel most perculiar. Had a very proud day today, Emily marched through Barry, then shouted the orders to her Unit and was elected to lay the wreath on the Cenataph for the Sea Cadets. Very proud I was. Melanie, Harrison and Freya were there to see her and Freya was most impressed as she spent the evening marching with Emily's hat on. Elise was with Andrew and I at the Cenataph and through the Lords Prayer Elise kept saying "yes" just to join in, no prompting given.
We had fireworks tonight for Harrison and Freya and as Elise was late we had another fireworks display. Freya and Elise loved it but Harrison was wary after his mother screamed when a firework shot past into next doors tree. Dangerous things but the kids enjoyed them. Elise especially loved the spaklers which Vikki held for her. Another good fireworks night for the little ones.
All my news for now, take care both, love and kisses from us all. x x x

Absolutely wonderful blog and photo's. Even the ones of your Canyon Swing were brilliant. Did you see any penguins at all? Viv may have moved house by the time you reach her but ring her mobile, she hasn't moved far. My mother used to live in Christchurch, N.Z. Very pretty place. My Aunty Ann used to live in Papakura, if you're passing through take a picture. Spoke to Lynwen the other day and she sends her love. Will meet up on the weekend with the laptop. Keep having fun you'll be too old one day. Enjoy. Love from everyone. PSGeraint got his postcard this morning 'crikey'.
Terrified Mum
I was only joking when I said I thought you would have bungee'd off the Sydney Bridge. Are you doing it together or does one of you get to go first, and if so, who's going first! Really you could have told us after the event, I'll be worrying until your next blog. Be careful.Having seen the pictures of your camper van how do you (Kat) manage, even I wouldn't drive one of those things. Carl must really be brave.

Fun Mum
This is the best blog so far, I can't stop giggling and thinking of Carl being whisked away, your blog conjours up such a wonderful senario in my mind. And to think we thought it would be you. As you say it all makes for great memories and they will stay with you forever. What is a fairy penguin? Don't forget to give Viv a ring now you're in New Zealand. Well take care both, Carl you will have some fun taken out of you when you come home - can't wait.

I want a Wombat - he looked so funny. ~Carl sat on a rhino with the caption 'Carl loves Turtles' made me laugh. Can't believe you have been gone almost a month. Missing you but love getting your little messages and updates. Keep them coming. Enjoy your Opera. Love mum x x x x
