Made it out of New Zealand without any problems but with lots of luggage. Christmas decorations are everywhere in Auckland! Been enjoying the sights of Auckland and the surrounding areas. Have been to visit Mount Eden, an extinct volcano, and One tree Hill, an imposing memorial as well as going to the Auckland Museum and Zoo. Spent a day being cultural in Northland and visited the site where the treaty of NZ was signed. Also visited the oldest stone and wooden houses in NZ and a Maori Pa. After that we reverted to fun and have been for our last 2 scubas. We visited the imfamous site that JC recommended and were rewarded with some beautiful underwater sights. Made it further up the North Island and have been relaxing as much as possible before we have to come home. On our way up we stopped at Waitomo to see the glowworms and visited some amazing cave networks. it was really beautiful but a wee bit cold. the glow worms are really maggoty things but if you dont think about it too much they are pretty, like little stars.
